6 parents learnt how to make fresh Spinach and Lentil soup at our Jamie Oliver Cooking Workshop, delivered by our Healthy Families Parent Ambassador Natalie Hood and Hilary Cheyne from the Tower Hamlets Parental Engagement . Natalie gained the skills to deliver workshops to parents by attending a training programme at 'Jamie's Ministry of Food'.
Natalie showed the parents how to professionally chop vegetables and make a delicious home made soup the Jamie Oliver way. The first workshop was a great success, if you would like to attend the next workshop please contact Jacqui Jenkins or alternatively try the recipe at home! A huge thank you to the Tower Hamlets Healthy Families Parent Ambassador Team for giving Natalie the fantastic opportunity to train as a Jamie Oliver Ambassador. Thank you to Hilary Cheyne for hosting the workshop with Natalie, Vannessa Lakeman & Lili Nessa 'Healthy Families Parent Ambassadors' for helping us to work towards a healthy lifestyle.
Our second workshop with 6 new parents was fantastic too, we prepared Jamie Oliver Fish Cakes and Lemony Green Beans which was just as fantastic as the soup.
This 8-week course gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their children's behaviour in a positive way.
