Students will be asked to bring everything they need for the week with them in on a Monday (including PE kit, swimming kit, homework and reading records).
Your child will be participating in P.E on These days:
PE kit - shorts or track suit bottoms depending on the weather, t-shirt and trainers.
All children will get given a house colour, either red, green, blue or yellow during their first PE lesson and you are encouraged to buy a t-shirt in that colour for them. These coloured shirts will be on sale at school for £4.
Homework will be given out weekly on a Friday and will be due back on the following Wednesday. Homework will consist of spelling, numeracy and literacy. Book bags will be changed by a teacher weekly on Fridays but children can change their books daily if they finish their book before this. All book bags need to be in school on a Friday.
Parents are encouraged to read with their child every night and to initial their reading record when they do.
Our End of Year Expectations booklets outline the national expectations for children in each year group by the end of the academic year.
The expectations are from the new National Curriculum which was introduced in September 2014.
Welcome back after the half-term break! Here in Year 3, we are looking forward to another jampacked few weeks of learning. Our topic continues to look at London, and in particular, the fascinating history of the Isle of Dogs.
